Toledo Villa F.C. is the sixth team in the new UWS Midwest Conference

TOLEDO, OH - Toledo Villa Football Club will take the pitch in the Midwest Conference of United Women’s Soccer (UWS) this upcoming Summer 2017 season. TVFC joins Detroit Sun F.C., F.C. Indiana, Fort Wayne United F.C., Grand Rapids F.C. and Michigan Legends F.C. as the sixth team in the newly-formed conference. TVFC’s ownership group is made up of four entities from Ohio and Michigan: Pacesetter Soccer Club (Sylvania, OH), Total Sports, Inc. (Wixom, MI), Northaven Group (Sylvania, OH) and a Northville, MI-based group.

Toledo Villa F.C. will also field a women’s U-20 team, a men’s team in the Premier League of America (PLA) and a men’s U-20 team. The U-20 teams will serve as developmental academies for the UWS and PLA teams. TVFC also has an official partnership with Aston Villa F.C. of the EFL Championship and FAWSL-2 to further enhance its pipeline to the professional ranks.

“I would like to welcome Toledo Villa F.C. to UWS,” said League Director Joe Ferrara, Jr. “It is always exciting to see an organization not just meet but exceed the minimum standards of the league. The club has amassed an impressive ownership group with various resources. Their UK affiliate, Aston Villa F.C., makes them an even more dynamic organization.”

Toledo Villa F.C. Director of Soccer Operations and General Manager David Hebestreit has 35 years of experience as a player, coach, referee, administrator and fan. Hebestreit, who coached in the PLA last season, is in the process of assembling his coaching staff and players with the intent to meet the demand of the greater-Toledo area for competitive men’s and women’s soccer teams.

“The UWS provides Toledo Villa F.C. with high-level competition, as well as a regionally-based, regular season format that breeds rivalries,” said Hebestreit. “After coaching in both the WPSL and NPSL, I am confident that the model offered by UWS is far more sustainable and I am excited to get to work hiring a head coach for both senior teams.”

The team will split its training and match homes between Sylvania, OH and Rossford, OH. In Sylvania, Pacesetter Soccer Club offers a meticulously maintained training facility. Pacesetter is one of the premier youth clubs in the country, regularly sending young men and women to both collegiate and professional levels.

Total Sports Rossford offers a newly constructed domed field for training. Total Sports also allows Toledo Villa F.C. to vary its training schedule and activities with its network of indoor locations throughout the region. The other partners, a combination of private local and national business owners, round out the ownership group and gives TVFC a massive network of resources from which to draw upon.

More information regarding Toledo Villa F.C. including tryouts, schedules, rosters, management, ticket information, sponsorship and fan gear, will be available soon on social media as well as its forthcoming website - www.toledovillafc.com.
