Clem backstops Lansing defense; Dewey on fire for Indiana

METUCHEN, NJ - Offense reigned supreme in Week V action in United Women's Soccer (UWS). Fifty-eight goals were scored in 11 matches amidst four conferences, good for a 5.27 average per contest. Midfielder Samantha Dewey has been the chief perpetrator of late for the Indiana Union (4-1-1). Four goals in two wins over Michigan and AFC Ann Arbor has put the reigning Big East Midfielder of the Year on top of the overall league scoring chart (7g, 4a, 18 pts). On the other side of the pitch, Madison Clem has proven to be a shot-stopper for Midwest leaders Lansing United (6-0-0). The Michigan State University goalkeeper picked up two wins on the weekend (five wins total) and stood tall in the 2-1 victory over defending Midwest champion Grand Rapids FC, making seven saves.

For their efforts, Dewey has been named the Offensive Player of the Week while Clem garners Defensive Player of the Week honors. For the full list of weekly honors, see below:
