Seventeen UWS alumnae look to make their pro dreams come true

METUCHEN, NJ - The 2020 National Women's Soccer League (NWSL) College Draft will take place on Thursday, January 16 (11:00 AM ET) at the United Soccer Coaches (USC) Convention in Baltimore, MD. The preliminary list of eligible players for the draft was released by the league and 17 former United Women's Soccer (UWS) stars will get a chance to have their professional dreams come true. Leading the way are the 2019 UWS Midwest Conference champion Indiana Union with four alumnae: Chandra Davidson (Indiana University), Danielle Hayden (Baylor University), Stasia Mallin (University of Memphis) and Annika Schmidt (Butler University). Highlighted players include: All-UWS selection Haley Crawford (Lancaster Inferno); 2017 UWS Championship MVP Michaela Kovacs (Midwest United FC); U.S. U-20 international Zoe Morse (Lansing United); Ireland international Hayley Nolan (Connecticut Fusion); four-time Bulgarian Player of the Year Evdokia Popadinova (Santa Clarita Blue Heat); and Jamaican international Chantelle Swaby (New England Mutiny).

The deadline is Wednesday, January 15 (4:00 PM ET).
