Metro Detroit-based club moves to the top division of United Women’s Soccer

Metuchen, NJ — Expansion news continues in the Great Lakes State as Michigan Stars Football Club joins the 2023 Central Conference lineup. Michigan Stars is making the move to the first division of the national pro-am league after two seasons competing in UWS League Two (UWS2). Stay tuned as more teams are announced to the 2023 alignment and the game schedule is released.

“We are pleased to see another great club from UWS League Two make the move to the top division,” said League Commissioner Joe Ferrara. Michigan Stars FC is committed to providing a competitive platform for their players to get to the next level in their careers.”

Established 4 years ago, the Michigan Stars Football Club is home to professional men’s soccer in the Metro Detroit area. Their women’s team launched in 2021 and competed in UWS League Two (UWS2). This upcoming season, their Women’s team will compete in UWS League One in the Great Lakes Division of the Central Conference. The club will hold open tryouts this Saturday, March 25th from 5-7pm at MSSC Indoor Field (65665 Powell Rd, Washington Twp, MI 48095). Interested players must register online at the following LINK
