Lansing, Michigan welcomes a new era in women's soccer as Cap City Athletic 1847 proudly announces its return to the United Women's Soccer (UWS) league for the 2024 season.
"We are excited to be a part of the UWS season for 2024. We feel that it is important for the young players in mid-Michigan to be able to see first-hand the type of player that they aspire to be. We are thrilled to have the opportunity to continue building that culture as we take up the reins again in UWS,” stated Team President Dan Jury.
Founded in 2014 by Eric DeLonge, Stacy DeLonge, and Dan Jury, Cap City Athletic 1847 has a strong focus on player development, character building, and fostering a lifelong passion for the beautiful game.
