United Women's Soccer is excited to announce the addition of Team Chicago to UWS2 for the 2025 season. The organization has created an impressive pathway for both youth and adult players.
With the mission of helping players achieve their highest level, Team Chicago has succeeded in that regard at both the college and pro level. Various players have gone on to collegiate programs as well as professional and national teams, including the national teams of Puerto Rico, Mexico and the United States and Chicago Red Stars of the NWSL.
"Team Chicago is thrilled to partner with United Women’s Soccer (UWS), a nationally recognized pre-professional league that has proven to be a premier platform for aspiring athletes. Our well-established U23 program will now compete in a highly structured and competitive environment, allowing our players to further their development and gain invaluable experience over the summer," stated club co-Executive Director Tom Nevill.
"We are thrilled to welcome Team Chicago to the league. They have a proven track record of developing winning teams and getting players to the next level and their inclusion in UWS will help them further their mission," said League Commissioner Joe Ferrara.
"By joining UWS, Team Chicago continues to elevate the pathway for female athletes, providing them with the opportunity to compete at a high level and prepare for the next stages of their soccer careers. We are excited about this partnership and look forward to the growth and success it will bring to our players and club," added Nevill.
