UWS is excited to welcome the Maine Mystics to United Women's Soccer ahead of the 2026 season.
Maine Mystics FC through the UWS, look to express love for the sport and find belonging as a new club based in Lewiston-Auburn, Maine.
"This club is the reclaiming of dreams for many of our women, the return of ambitions we once tucked away as kids or set aside in our early adult lives. Now those dreams are alive again, ignited by the opportunity to play pre-professional soccer. And, most importantly, we intend to lead, to inspire, and to show the next generation that women are strong, powerful, and resilient both in the game and in life", stated Coach and Chief Strategy Officer Lauren Caffe.
The Mystics will use its UWS team as a powerful platform for women by creating opportunities for women to build confidence, develop leadership skills and forge meaningful relationships for personal growth and development. Caffe, along with VP Katelyn St. Hilaire and Secretary Dakota Goguen bring a wealth of experience to the sport.
"We are thrilled to add the Mystics to UWS. The mission of this management team is to create a family-friendly experience and grow the sport of women's soccer locally in 2026," added Commissioner Joe Ferrara.
