Holland, MI — Tulip City FC is proud to announce that its women’s team, Tulip City United Women, will officially join United Women’s Soccer (UWS), a national women’s soccer league dedicated to advancing and empowering the women’s game across the United States.
Founded in 2020, Tulip City United (@tulipcityunited) is based in Holland, Michigan, along the shores of the Great Lakes. Built on a mission to unite the local community through a shared love of soccer and city, the club has quickly become a growing force in West Michigan’s soccer landscape.
The women’s program, established in 2025 as Tulip City United Women (@tulipcityunitedW), reflects the club’s continued commitment to opportunity, development, and community impact. Competing in UWS marks a significant milestone for the club and for women’s soccer in the region.
“Tulip City United Women’s team is excited to join UWS and compete in a league that promotes the development and empowerment of the women’s game nationally,” said Head Coach Matt Margaron. “As a grassroots soccer club, we are committed to Tulip City’s core principles of Passion, Unity, and Growth for soccer in West Michigan. Our women’s team recruits and develops some of the top talent in the region while also serving and partnering with our local community.”
United Women’s Soccer provides a national platform for elite amateur and pre-professional athletes, emphasizing player development, leadership, and access to higher levels of the game. Tulip City United Women’s participation strengthens UWS’s Midwest footprint while offering local athletes a high-level pathway close to home.
“We are excited to add Tulip City United Women to the Great Lakes division. In meeting with coach Margaron, it was apparent that the team will be a success both on and off the field with a great infrastructure and facilities to support a high standard operation,” stated League Commissioner Joe Ferrara.
With deep community roots and a vision centered on growth and inclusion, Tulip City United Women is poised to make a meaningful impact both on and off the field as it enters national competition.
