EAST BRUNSWICK, NJ - The home opener for the New England Mutiny is less than ten days away and the team is beginning to finalize their roster for their inaugural game in the pro-am United Women’s Soccer (UWS) league. The Mutiny have added eight players to the team who will take on the New York Magic on Saturday, May 14th at East Longmeadow High School (7:00 PM kickoff).

“We are excited about this group of players as we approach our inaugural match in United Women's Soccer,” said New England Mutiny owner Joe Ferrara, Jr. “We will look to add more players this week. It will be a quick turnaround from training to our first game, but we anticipate competition for spots to be fierce.”

Abele played for East Catholic High School, and won the Class M State championship in 2014. Alyssa played club ball with the CFC Wolves and will attend Emmanuel College beginning this fall.

Bell completed her four-year career at American International College last fall with her fourth consecutive selection to the Northeast-10 Conference Team (First Team, 2015). Romina was also named to the 2015 NSCAA Division II All-East Region Second Team, as she started all 19 games for AIC (four goals, four assists). She has been a member of the U-17, U-19 and senior Austrian Women’s National Team and competed in the UEFA Women's Champions League with SV Neulengbach (ÖFB-Frauenliga).

Cafferky has been the rock of the Central Connecticut State University defense (39 goals in 38 games) in her two years for the Blue Devils. Jennifer was named to the 2015 NSCAA All-Northeast Region Third Team, the NEWISA All-New England First Team & All-ECAC Second Team as the two-time reigning Northeast Conference Defensive Player of the Year. The former U-17 Swedish National Team member was the 2014 NEC Rookie of the Year and has been named to the All-NEC First Team in both her freshman and sophomore seasons.

Chareyron has started in 23 games for the AIC Yellow Jackets in her first two years at the Springfield-based college. The 5’7 defender has playing experience in Division 1 Féminine (D1F), the top flight of women’s soccer in her home country. Anais suited up for AS Saint-Étienne against the likes of European powerhouses Olympique Lyonnais and Paris Saint-Germain.

Harding appeared in all 21 games for the CCSU Blue Devils in 2014, making 20 starts (two goals, three assists) for the NEC champions. Cailynn found the back of the net in the NEC Final against Fairleigh Dickinson that helped CCSU secure their eighth NEC Championship in program history and was named to the All-Tournament Team. She was the Team MVP, All-State and All-Housatonic Conference selection for Cheshire High School as a senior.

Margaretta returns to the Mutiny after a year hiatus, as she started in every match for New England in the 2014 season. Jess has been named to the NE-10 All-Conference Team in all three years of her AIC career (Second Team, 2015). Last year, she was a NSCAA All-East Region Second Team selection alongside college & Mutiny teammate Bell. In 2013 when the Yellow Jackets made their NCAA Tournament Final Four run, Margaretta was selected the NE-10 Rookie of the Year.

McGuire finished her four-year career at the University of Connecticut last fall by being selected to the American Athletic Conference Second Team for the 19-4-0 Huskies. Samantha started in every match and registered a career-high seven goals and 17 points, and finished with three assists for the third straight season and three game-winning goals for the second consecutive season. In 2014, she was selected to the NSCAA NCAA Division I All-Northeast Region Third Team and played in the defensive midfield to help UConn record 11 shutouts and a 0.87 team GAA. In high school, McGuire was a 2010 ESPN All-American, 2011 NSCAA All-American and the 2011 New York Sportswriters Co-Player of the Year.

Ulliac burst on to the national Division II scene last fall as a freshman goalkeeper for Adelphi University, as she was named the NE-10 Goalkeeper of the Year while also being selected to the NE-10 All-Conference First Team, the NSCAA All-East Region Second Team and the ECAC Second Team. Anne-Marie posted 10 shutouts while starting in every contest to post a 0.58 GAA for the No. 13 nationally-ranked 18-3-2 Panthers program. She is the first player to join the Mutiny from Edmonton, Alberta since Mutiny legend Stephanie Labbe - who is currently the goalkeeper for the Washington Spirit of NWSL and the Canadian Women’s National Team.
