UWS officially launches into 2017 in Los Angeles this week

EAST BRUNSWICK, NJ - United Women’s Soccer (UWS) will be taking part in the 2017 National Soccer Coaches of Association (NSCAA) Convention, which will be held this January 11-15 in Los Angeles, CA at the Los Angeles Convention Center. Fans, friends and potential players, sponsors & teams can meet up with UWS officials to discuss the 2017 season at Booth 369 starting this Wednesday afternoon when the convention kicks off.

After a successful inaugural season in 2016, UWS has already put their stamp on 2017 as they have recently announced their first round of expansion. The Midwest Conference - currently comprised of Detroit Sun F.C., F.C. Indiana, Fort Wayne United F.C., Grand Rapids F.C. and Michigan Legends F.C. - will join in on the battle for the UWS Championship, alongside the East and West Conferences.

The upcoming summer season will be an important one in the development of UWS, as the Division 2 league looks to make its home on the American soccer landscape.

“We are looking forward to this year's NSCAA Convention as we formally introduce more additions in the East, Midwest and West conferences,” said League Director Joe Ferrara, Jr. “This off-season has already been active with expansion announcements with some of the top organizations in the United States.”

Billed as “The World's Largest Annual Gathering of Soccer Coaches and Administrators” the NSCAA Convention and U.S. Youth Soccer Workshop draws more than 6,300 coaches from our 32,000-plus members, and more than 11,000 attendees. Over five days there will be over 250 educational opportunities consisting of live field demonstrations, classroom sessions, meal and social functions, award presentations, coaching diplomas and more!
