LA Galaxy OC Announces Preliminary Signings

New UWS West club nabs impressive initial group for inaugural season

IRVINE, CA - LA Galaxy OC have announced their preliminary roster signings for their inaugural season in the West Conference of United Women's Soccer (UWS). Head Coach Scott Juniper has successfully recruited a diverse group of top players from around the country as well as top local talent. LA Galaxy OC's goal is to create not only soccer fans but folks who want to support high level, home grown, female athletes.

The team's vision is to create a successful, highly competitive experience in a community based, family friendly venue in the heart of Orange County. We are proud to introduce you to first members of the Orange County Women's Team, brought to you by LA Galaxy OC. Welcome to the family! The OC Women's Team is delighted to announce the signing of the following players:

D Morgan Batcheller (Carlsbad, CA - Cal State Fullerton, Seattle Reign, Beach FC)

MF Connie Caliz (Norwalk, CA – Cal State Fullerton, U-20 Mexico Women's National Team)

MF/F Grayson Galbraith (Irvine, CA – UC Irvine)

D CoCo Goodson (Ramona, CA – UC Irvine, Sky Blue FC, FC Twente)

F Carina Hendley (Irvine, CA – Rutgers University)

F Angelina Hix (Oceanside, CA – Miracosta College, San Diego Sea Lions, UC Club Tijuana Xolos)

D/F Natalie Jacobs (Coto de Caza, CA – USC, U-20 & U-23 U.S. Women's National Team)

F Sherifatu Sumaila (Tamale, Ghana – University of Maine at Fort Kent, U-20 Ghana Women's National Team)

D Natalie Ward (Newport Beach, CA – University of Notre Dame)

D Brianna Westrup (Corona del Mar, CA – University of Virginia)

"We have signed some excellent players for our inaugural season," said LAGOC Women's Team Head Coach Scott Juniper. "They represent every corner of Orange County, multiple colleges and national teams. Our community should be excited to see this team come together and represent all the hard work they have done for soccer in Orange County over the years."

To complete the roster, Coach Juniper will be hosting a Combine at the Orange County Great Park on March 23rd-24th.
