SPRINGFIELD, MA - The key to success for the New England Mutiny throughout their 19-year existence is mixing together returning players - who know the team's system of play & history - and new blood into roster development. In their second roster announcement preceding the 2018 season in the East Conference of United Women's Soccer (UWS), New England tips their hat to three more returning players from the 2017 season as well as welcoming in four newcomers.

The Mutiny open their 2018 season on the road on Friday, May 11th (7:00 PM) when they commence the local derby against the Connecticut Fusion. New England's home opener occurs on Saturday, May 19th (7:00 PM) when they host the Rochester Lancers at East Longmeadow High School. The Mutiny will host the remainder of their home schedule at Agawam High School.

"Its great to have Marissa, Alexa and Elena return to the Mutiny," said New England Mutiny owner Joe Ferrara, Jr. "All three showed a lot of potential last season and we're looking forward to seeing how much they can impact this year's team. We really like all four newcomers to our roster. They have the ability to strengthen our side at both ends of the pitch."

This will be Aniolowski's second season with the Mutiny, after her fall season with Seton Hall University where she started in 13 of 17 matches (three points). Marissa appeared in nine games for New England in 2017 and was rewarded for her two-goal performance in a win over Western New York by being named to the UWS Team of the Week. She started in every game for the Pirates in 2016 as a BIG EAST All-Freshman Team selection.

Casimiro will be entering her second season in a Mutiny uniform as well. The University of Connecticut sophomore appeared in 16 games for the Huskies last fall after making six appearances for New England last summer. Alexa started the last 12 matches for UConn in her freshman season in 2016. She was a two-year member of the US Region I ODP Team and served as a five-year co-captain for Academica FC.

Dorado is one of four newcomers to the New England side this summer and brings a strong resume from her time at Siena College. Taylor nabbed All-MAAC Second Team honors for the second straight fall after being named the MAAC Defensive Player of the Week a program record four times during the regular season. The seven shutouts for the sophomore goalkeeper were third most in the MAAC and just one off Siena's single-season record.

Halligan continues a long Mutiny pipeline for CCSU alumnae and joins former college teammates Charlie Branch and Jennifer Cafferky on the 2018 New England roster. The Lymm, England-native was selected to the All-NEC First Team for the second-straight season last fall and ranked third in scoring (eight points) with a team-best four assists. Kelly was also chosen to the All-New England Second Team.

Proulx follows in the large footsteps of Canadian keepers in New England Mutiny history, as the Syracuse freshman has represented Canada in three Women's World Cups with the U-17 and U-20 squads. Lysianne competed in three CONCACAF Championships, including winning gold in 2014 with the U-15 Team. During the U-17 Women's World Cup, Proulx logged two matches, earning FIFA Player of the Match honors against Germany.

This will be Santos' second season with the Mutiny, after her fall season with UConn where she started in 13 of 17 matches (five points) after her transfer from Fairfield University. Elena appeared in six games for New England last season. The West Hartford, CT-native played in 31 matches (27 starts) in her two seasons at Fairfield and finished tied with the team lead with four assists in 2015.

This may be Tachibana's first season with New England but she is already a UWS veteran. The former Florida State Seminole was named to the 2017 All-UWS Honorable Mention Team and All-Midwest Conference First Team for FC Indiana. Yo played in nine games and helped the club to a fourth-place finish in the UWS Midwest. The former Japan youth international transferred to CCSU last fall and started in 15 of 18 matches (six points).
